Rock/Cydia Apps for free!

Description:

A guide on how to get paid apps from Rock/Cydia for free.

Steps:

1) Go to Rock/Cydia to manage—manage sources/sources—edit—add and enter the source “http://repo.beyourphone.com” and the source “http://www.sinfuliphonerepo.com”.

2) These two sources above have almost every paid app cracked! The first source has many more apps, but the description is in Italian (The apps name is in English). The second source has less apps, but the description is in English.

3) In “manage sources” scroll down to those sources and press on the blue arrow. Find the app you want for free and download it!

Important Rules:

1) Those sources are full with bugs! You’ll get stuck on the apple icon sometimes (Fixing guide)

2) Some apps won’t download from one of the sources so try the other one, it may work.

3) Look for good apps in Rock to download from these sources!

IPod touch 3G (jailbreak)

Description: This guide will show how to fix your device when you download apps from Rock that require a “soft restart”; and how to fix your iPod when you turn it off or let the battery die. This will take around 1 minute to fix!

Steps:

1) First if you hack your 3G device (blcakra1n on 3.1.2) it’s only a tethered jailbreak! Which means each time you turn your iPod off you’ll need to run blackra1n to get it back to normal.  

2) If you do turn your device off or let the battery die, then you’ll need to run blackra1n again. You’ll see your device in DFU mode (an iTunes icon and a USB cord on your screen), or just plain black. When you’ll connect your device to the computer iTunes will ask to restore it—Do not restore it! Just run the blackra1n program and your device will go back to normal (=to the state it was in immediately prior to turning it off). It’s not at all like the first time jailbreak. After you run the program you will not see another blackra1n icon, and you won’t need to install the Rock/Cydia apps again.

Important rules:

1) As a hacked 3G device holder do not turn off or let the battery die (only if you like hacking your device again and again).

2) I recommend downloading the blackra1n (the RC3 version) to your computer so you can run it at any time.

3) If your device still doesn’t work after this then you’ll need to fix it in a different way (iPod touch fix)

iPod touch fix

Description:  Here are a couple of ways to fix your iPod if it doesn’t work, or freezes.  

Small bug:

If your iPod freezes in the middle of a process or is stuck on the apple logo, just connect it to the computer and wait for a couple of seconds for iTunes to open (or reconnect it and wait till iTunes will open). It may show the apple logo and then it will go back to the lockscreen, or it will go straight back to the lock screen. Give it up to a minute to see if it goes back to normal and if it doesn’t use the “fixes” below.

Recovery mode:

This “fix” is usually used when you get stuck in a jailbreak (blackra1n jailbreak). This is a very simple “fix”. Connect the iPod to the computer and hold the power button (the top button) and the home button (the button at the bottom of your iPod) for 20 seconds! After 20 seconds your iPod shall return to your lockscreen.

 DFU mode:

This is the last solution to fix your iPod, and if it doesn’t work after this your iPod got damaged physically probably.  

If you can turn off your iPod churn it off completely!

Connect your iPod to the computer!

Hold the home button (the button beneath the screen with a square on it) and the power button (the top button) for ten seconds.

Release the power button and hold the home button till the computer/itunes recognizes it (the computer may make a noise that something has connected)

Your iPod will have a sign of an USB cord and an itunes sign with in arrow between them to connect.  

When you go into itunes it should give you a message that it found an iPod in recovery mode.

Now you can restore your iPod from a period before it froze, downgrade or do whatever you want!

Paid Apps For Free!

Sick of wasting money on iTunes? Wanna download apps that cost a lot for free? SO THIS IS FOR YOU!!!

Description:

 A system that lets your iPod to download hacked games after jailbreaking your iPod. Without this system your iPod won’t let those applications to download.

Steps:

1) Open Rock/Cydia go to manage-(manage sources)-sources-edit-add source. Enter http://Cydia.hackulo.us and press add source.

2) When it finishes downloading the source search in Rock/Cydia for “appsync” .Now if you are on 3.1.2 firmware, download “Appsync for OS 3.1″, if you are on 3.0 firmware download “Appsync for OS 3.0″. Press on the one you need, install-confirm. If it doesn’t download the appsync the first time it’s ok! It happens! Just try again and it should work!

NOW YOUR IPOD IS SUITABLE FOR HACKED APPLICATIONS!!!’

Downloading hacked apps:

1) There are two ways to downloading hacked apps: From appulo.us (PC) or Installous (iPod).

On PC go to apulo.us and search the app you want (by category if you want) and click on it. Scroll down you will see versions of the app (go to the latest version). Click on the site you want to download the app from (there are links beneath the version you want) I recommend AppScene as a reliable site to download from. Download the file to your computer (make a file for these apps), and when it finishes downloading open it (double click). It will open on your iTunes in the application category. When you will sync your iPod it will be on it working like a normal application! (Only if you did the steps above!).

Installous is another way. Search in Rock/Cydia for Installous and download it. When you finish you’ll have an icon on your iPod “Installous”. Press it and search for apps you want and download them! (Works with Wi-Fi only!)

  Impotant Rules:

1) This is for all iPod generations! (1G, 2G, 3G) 

2) I recommend downloading from the PC. It is much faster and easier to handle.

3) Look for good apps to download on iTunes. Go to the charts and download the top ones.

4) The speed on your download depends on the size of the app and your internet connection

5) If you get a troll bridge question just Google it and search for an answer. After you answer the question some times the troll bridge will stop. The troll bridge is temporarily and should stop soon.

Jailbreaking 3.1.2 (blackra1n)

Description:

 This jailbreak is for windows iPod touch 1G, 2G and 3G on 3.1.2 firmware. You can download Cydia and Rock from it.

Steps:

1) Download Blackra1n from blackra1n.com to your computer.

 Or you can just run it straight from blackra1n.com by clicking on the windows logo at the bottom of the page and clicking run ignoring the warnings you get. You’ll get the window with “make it ra1n” button click on it. Some parts from here on in this guide are for the people who downloaded the program only.

2) Connect your iPod to the computer (turn off all programs so it will go faster and smoother). Before you start the program I recommend to churning off iTunes so it won’t give you pop messages while jailbreaking.

3) Your iPod can be on while it’s being jailbroken.

4) Start the program (double click the blackra1n icon and hit run) and a window will open with a button “make it ra1n” click on it. If you don’t have the blackra1n icon to click on, so click on blackra1n.exe which is in the blackra1n file you downloaded and extract all files to get the blackra1n icon.  Now your iPod is being jailbroken! Do not touch it till the process is totally over. While jailbreking iTunes may give you some warnings—ignore them or close them.

5) When you finish you will have a blackra1n icon on your iPod. Press it and you will have /23 downloading options Cydia, Rock and Icy. I recommend downloading Rock but do as you wish. Now choose what you want to download and download it. It is safer to download one at a time.

6) When you open Rock/Cydia for the first time it will “complete installation” and will close. It will work normally the next time you open it. I also advise to make a user in Rock for your own convenience (go to manage-rock ID and make a user).

7) Your iPod is officially jailbroken now!!! You can download themes (Guide for themes page…) programs etc.!!!

Rock Your Phone

Description:

A program you download from the blackra1n hack. This program is similar to the AppStore of Apple. You can download Systems, Themes, Add-ons, Soundboards and more from it to your iPod touch.

How to use  (Walkthrough):

Page one-”Rock”

This is the homepage where you get news about Rock (and every other thing a homepage has).

Page two-”What’s New”  

On this page you’ll see the newest apps by: Release Date, Top Rated or in Alphabetical order (whatever you choose). Also this page will give you “Available Upgrades” for the stuff you downloaded before.

Page three-”Categories” 

This page divides all the applications on Rock to different groups (System, Widgets, multimedia etc). When you choose a category you decide in that category which order do you want to see the apps (Release Date, Top Rated or in Alphabetical order). Usually you’ll get the apps in a paid to free order, so scroll down a little for the free apps.

Page four-”Search”

This is where you search for anything you want to have on your iPod and see if it exist on Rock. You can also look for something you forgot where it is on Rock.

Page five-”Manage”

Here is where you handle your Rock. You can add sources, uninstall apps and themes you downloaded, or reinstall apps that don’t work. In Settings you can decide what your Rock will display how much memory Rock is taking etc.

IPod themes

Description:

How to download themes to winterboard and have the theme running in 2 minutes on your ipod touch!

Steps:

1) Download winterboard (see here for how)

2) Go to Rock/Cydia Categories/Sections. Choose if you want a complete theme or a theme for a specific part (Battery, Clock etc) and choose that category. On rock I recommend going to   the top rated themes and choose a theme (they have screenshots of the theme too!) On Cydia just look around for a theme. Obviously if you know which theme you want just search it.

5) When you choose the theme you want press on it then install—confirm it. Wait till it fully downloads then go to winterboard and it should be there.

6) In winterboard press on the theme you want (mark it) and then go out of winterboard (press the home button). You should see a spinning wheel in the middle of your iPod wait till it finishes spinning. When it finishes open your iPod and……      

You’ll see your iPod with an awesome theme!

How to get winterboard

 Winterboard is a great system that installs great themes.  This guide will help you have it up and running in a few minutes!

Description:

Winterboard is a system which saves your themes from Rock/Cydia and sets them on your iPod touch. This guide is for iPod touch 1G, 2G for 3G there is a different guide.

Steps:

Downloading winterboard:

1) Go to Rock/Cydia to search, and type in “winterboard”. Scroll down to the “W” section and there should be a snowflake icon next to the winterboard system!

2) Press on the snowflake icon and then press install–confirm. It should take 5-30 seconds depending on your Wi-Fi connection. It will give you a message that the program needs to reboot the device—press ok.

3) When it finishes rebooting open your iPod and you will have a winterboard icon with basic themes by Saurik.

Important Rules:

1) Don’t put on two themes together (marking 2 themes at the same time)!!!

2) Don’t touch the iPod while the theme is downloading!

3) I recommend not downloading themes over 10mb. It can slow your iPod or even not let your computer to sync your iPod.
